The work

Five steps, all mine. Pick the colours, then I scan it, draw it, cut it and fit it.

Colours and pattern

You pick the colour, then the pattern.

SeaDek comes in thirty-two colours, and two of them fit in one sheet with the lines cut through the top layer. Teak, hex, or a pattern you bring me.

Scan

I scan your boat where it sits, on the lift or on the trailer.

Every measurement comes off your own hull, so nothing is traced from a stock template.

Design

I draw every panel around what is already on your deck.

The hatches, the drains, the seat pedestals, the transom steps. The kit comes apart where your deck does.

Cut

The drawing goes straight to the CNC in my shop.

Nothing gets sent out, so what comes off the table is what I drew.

I fit every piece myself.

3M peel and stick, in the water the same day. Give the adhesive 24 hours.

New work is SeaDek, supplied by Thomas Custom Marine, Ontario's only SeaDek Certified Fabricator. I still scan, draw, cut and fit every kit myself.

Brushed, embossed, wood grain, diamond or hex.
Thickness
5, 6 or 8 mm. Two colours in one 6 mm sheet, or layers stacked for a third.
Pattern
Teak lines, hex, or a design of your own. Logos and lettering cut in or laser etched.

The PE/EVA foam on the boats above is still available, for less.
